Postcards Get the Word Out

When this newly minted parent mentor attended the Opening Keynote session of the 2022 GaPMP Kickoff event, she never expected to find the best tool for introducing herself in her district. But that is exactly what she did.
Meet Ashley Webb in Habersham County
“During our Kickoff this year, Brian Buffington spoke about 5 minute investments. An example he showed was a bright, fun post card he likes to send out. I had read about different ways to reach out to families, so I merged these two ideas! I created a retro postcard using our school colors on the front, and on the back I put my contact information. “
I wrote a short message to families saying I hope “Johnny” was settling in at “name of specific school”, and asked that they save the card and to contact me in the future with any questions or need concerns.
