Sullivan distinguished herself in the Georgia Parent Mentor Partnership as well as the 2024 recipient of the Phil Pickens Award. In over 30 years in public education, Sullivan has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Instructional Technology Coach and, for the last 9 years, as Parent Mentor.
Sullivan was recognized for organizing the “Trojan Heroes Award Night,” leading implementation of ASPIRE, the Student Led IEP meeting initiative, working to empower students to take an active role in their education. She has consistently offered ongoing support and attending Transition IEP meetings to ensure that every student’s needs are met. She has also provided resources to ensure that every parent feels supported and empowered; through parent letters, Transition Tours, one-on-one sessions, and her guided Parent University classes.
