Welcome to Lesson Two in the Language Strategies for Parents course.

In Before Words Lesson One, you watched a video featuring Emily Rubin, MS, CCC-SLP, Director of the Educational Outreach Program at the Marcus Autism Center, discuss how to help your child learn social skills before language.

In this lesson you will:

Learn ways to foster engagement to help your child develop language as a tool for social connections.

Learn how to use language and other tools to provide information to your child in multiple ways.

Learn how to help your child express themselves in different ways so that they can practice and develop relationships with their teachers and peers.
