COVID-19 Information

The Georgia Department of Education offers information on what it is doing to protect and inform local school districts, parents and students regarding the COVID-19 virus (also known as the Coronavirus).
February 19, 2021: The GaDOE has provided clarification on the difference between change of placement and change of location as it relates to distance learning. Attached is a one pager addressing the guidance regarding change of placement vs. change of location. It is also located on our website on the main page under the continuous improvement circle and on the Resources for Distance/Remote Learning page.

A novel coronavirus, named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China in 2019.
