Language Strategies for Parents Before Words Stage Lesson One

This is the first of three lessons in the Language Strategies for Parents Course.

Go to this link on the Georgia Department of Education site to watch a 20-minute video.

In this lesson you will:

Learn about the Social Brain for a child who is before words.

Learn ways to initiate social opportunities in children for a child who is before words.

Learn ways to foster self confidence in children to encourage them to practice social skills for a child who is before words.

Learn about Universal Design in Learning and how it can help teach social skills for a child who is before words.

Once you have completed the video, you may opt to take the short quiz.  If you complete all three lessons in this course and take the quiz after each lesson, you will earn a certificate signifying your completion of the Language Strategies for Parents Course!
