Language Strategies for Parents Conversational Language Lesson Three

Welcome to Lesson Three, the final lesson in the Language Strategies for Parents course.

In Before Words Lesson One, and Emerging Language Lesson Two, you watched videos featuring Emily Rubin, MS, CCC-SLP, Director of the Educational Outreach Program at the Marcus Autism Center, discussing ways to help your child develop his/her social brain at the very beginning stages of language.

Click on this 20 minute video to learn from Emily Rubin about tools parents can use to help their child’s social skills develop through practice in Conversational Language. If you have already watched the Before Words and/or the Emerging Language video, please skip to the timecode of 11:59 to start at this new section and watch 10 minutes devoted to the conversational stage of language acquisition.”

In this lesson you will:

Understand the relevance of the Social Brain in developing social skills.

Help your child develop self confidence in practicing social skills in different social situations.
