The Georgia Department of Education’s C.A.F.E. Manual has recently been updated and is available on this website through the link below.  The manual serves as a resource for school systems and it includes information on all facets of C.A.F.E. from organizing the first dialogue session to implementing strategies to move the work forward.

Parent mentors have had an active role in implementing C.A.F.E.s  through  GraduateFIRST, Georgia’s nationally recognized State Personnel Development Grant.   Parent mentors have worked collaboratively with GraduateFIRST collaboration coaches to conduct C.A.F.E.s related to reducing dropout rate of students with disabilities in participating schools.
